Daily Moon Dispatch – 9 October 2026
A waning crescent hangs over Earth.
The long lunar night continues at Conrad Station. Outside there is only Earthlight on the regolith and the hard black of vacuum. Earth hangs high above the station. Surface activity remains minimal. Life continues inside the habitats under artificial light, where the quiet technical margins that keep everyone alive stay fully in force.
Deputy Gen Miller continues her patrols through the dimly lit habitats and corridors. Flashlights cut the dark; the badge still has to walk the station when backup is three days away.
Lunar noir hard science fiction: justice is personal, and backup is three days away.

StoriesThe stories of Torn MacAlester are science fiction, where the science is well-grounded. I intentionally made any deviations for speculative purposes. To maintain maximum realism, I restrict the scope of these deviations. |
ArticlesI write articles of science fact and science fiction. The articles here span the knowledge of modern science and the speculations of fiction. I try to caveat everything that is an assumption. You will find articles about spaceflight, the possibilities of alien contact, and descriptions of technology used in my stories. |
